JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the authority of the Director of Operations, the Production Manager is responsible for implementing strategies and organizing and managing all production departments. He will work to optimize methods and processes in order to continuously improve productivity and production efficiency, while ensuring a safe work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to achieving the objectives set out in the operational plan by effectively collaborating with a team of supervisors ton enhance performance;
  • Coordinate and lead production operations according to established schedules to meet customer demands;
  • Ensure manufacturing and delivery deadlines are met, and continuously work to improve product quality and customer satisfaction levels;
  • Set the results and KPI's to be achieved for each sector;
  • Participate in the management of human resources, equipment, and materials based on the production schedule;
  • Support and coach supervisors in fulfilling their responsibilities;
  • Mobilize production staff through consistent communication to ensure a motivated, high-performing, skilled, versatile, and accountable team;
  • Plan tasks under your responsibility to optimize the use of available resources in pursuit of production objectives communicated by your director, and collaborate in determining workforce needs;
  • Ensure the implementation, monitoring, and change management of various sector projects;
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s procedures, policies, and health and safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BAC in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or any other relevant combination of experience;
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least two years in an operations management role;
  • Green Belt certification in Lean/Six Sigma or proven achievements in continuous improvement;
  • Functional bilingualism (French and English);
  • Proficiency in MS Office software;
  • Strong team management and leadership skills;
  • Excellent ability to mobilize teams;
  • Outstanding problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills;
  • Good adaptability.
