JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance activities for equipment, buildings, and facilities. They ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant environment in accordance with quality and safety standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance work

  • Manage the electromechanical team, the maintenance attendant, and the truck driver, ensuring effective task distribution

  • Diagnose major breakdowns and actively participate in resolving technical problems

  • Implement and optimize preventive maintenance programs

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies during interventions

  • Collaborate with other departments to minimize production downtime

  • Monitor spare parts inventory and place necessary orders

  • Document interventions in the maintenance management system

  • Train and mentor maintenance staff to support skill development

  • Participate in continuous improvement of processes and equipment

  • Manage the maintenance budget in collaboration with the Director of Operations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in mechanical engineering, electromechanics, or a related field

  • Relevant experience in supervising a maintenance team (minimum 3 to 5 years)

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

  • Electrician's C license (an asset)

  • Leadership, thoroughness, autonomy, and strong communication skills
