JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the authority of the supervisor, the position holder is responsible for operating the knitting machines and producing hockey jerseys according to the specifications listed on the production cards. The operator is responsible for meeting both the quality and quantity requirements of the jersey production.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce the vest models as described on the production cards;
- Properly install the yarn cones on the knitting machines;
- Perform the setup and re-setup of the knitting machines;
- Use the correct yarn lots;
- Carry out style changes;
- Cut fabric rolls according to established procedures;
- Operate multiple machines at the same time;
- Inspect the produced material while complying with quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to read and count;
- Spoken and written French;
- Computer skills;
- Autonomy and good judgment;
- Good dexterity and attention to detail;
- Ability to work in a noisy environment;
- Ability to work in a problem‑solving mode;
- Ability to handle fabric rolls weighing 20 kg;
- Ability to work as part of a team.
