JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the General Manager, the Mechanical Engineer – Project Manager will play a key role in the optimization, modernization and development of textile manufacturing equipment and processes. He will be responsible for the complete management of technical projects, from design to implementation, ensuring the performance, reliability and compliance of mechanical installations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, coordinate and execute mechanical engineering projects related to production equipment;
Design or improve mechanical systems to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality;
Collaborate with production, maintenance and quality teams to identify needs and propose technical solutions;
Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources;
Select and supervise suppliers and subcontractors;
To ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards specific to the textile sector;
Document projects, write technical reports and present results to stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

BAC in mechanical engineering;
Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
Experience in industrial project management in the manufacturing sector;
Knowledge of textile manufacturing processes (an asset);
Proficiency in design software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and project management software (MS Project, etc.);
Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills;
Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding production environment;
Bilingualism (French/English).
